The Cousins Story

Two cousins had a vision in the mid '70s to bring anglers the highest quality rods, blanks, skirts and lures available. That idea was called Harbor Pacifica, the inspiration for what is now Cousins Tackle Corp. So you might say we have had this business in the works since '76!

Our two families have been on the cutting edge of fishing tackle since the inception of modern versions in the early '60s. Wade Cunningham and Bill Buchanan, the names behind Cousins Tackle, have been associated with just about all leading tackle companies such as Sage, Seeker, Sevenstrand, Fenwick, Berkley, Spiderwire, Stren, Abu-Garcia, Abel and Shikari.

Now we have come back together in the hometown of many historic tackle companies, Huntington Beach, CA, to bring you the finest rods, blanks, skirts, and lures all made right here in the USA. It's the perfect match: Bill brings years of lure and skirt design experience while Wade brings his iconic rod and blank design expertise to the table. Cousins Tackle products are all made by hand one at a time to ensure quality. When we came together to build this company, we knew the vision was to bring jobs to our local economy. Employing over 25 workers, Cousins Tackle has a full staff rolling blanks, finishing rods, pouring skirts and making lures. Read More
